11/26/09 First Thanksgiving

Owen and I went down to San Diego with Jeff & Gretchen to enjoy Thanksgiving with Eric, Melissa, Melissa's brother Bob and his girlfriend Erin. We all ate quite a bit, as we're supposed to on Thanksgiving, including several different pies such as the pecan and pumpkin ones I made. 

Owen fell asleep wearing his 1st Thanksgiving bib from Uncle Eric & Aunt Melissa. Poor Jason stayed home sick with a flu bug, but happily ate leftovers for the next couple of days.

Six week shots

Here I am on my way to get those ouchy 6 week shots. Grandma saw this picture later and said it looked like I knew what was coming! There I am waiting patiently on the table for the nurse to come in. Mommy and Daddy said I did really well, only crying when the needle went into my thighs. Why on earth do they need such a BIG needle for such little legs? That night I had a fever of 101 but still wanted to eat a lot!

Daddy is hilarious!

This was one of the first times Owen really laughed. Jason loved it! :)

11/14/09 Jeff & Gretchen's wedding

Doesn't Owen look dapper in his little tuxedo for Uncle Jeff & Aunt Gretchen's wedding? He did so well, only waking up to eat and be passed around amongst the doting relatives, most of of whom were seeing him for the first time - and for a dance with Mommy and Daddy. Look at that candy table; isn't that awesome? The chocolate liqueurs were delectable!

11/12/09 It's Grandma's Birthday!

 

Owen looks a bit upset that he doesn't get any of the HUGE yummy cake!

Now that's an odd bird...

Owen gets some play time on his Fisher-Price rainforest gym every day. This is one of the first times he noticed there were toys dangling above him.

We tried raising one end of the crib mattress and a horseshoe to keep him from sliding down.

Thought maybe the swing would make him feel better after eating...

He was not amused by the bouncy chair either.

Jason patiently brought home and returned two gliders before I found my perfect nursing chair at IKEA

Owen liked the Nap Nanny right away and soon began sleeping through the night!

I've gotten more used to bathing. Soon I will even start to enjoy it!

I can track moving objects!

This started when Owen was about 5 weeks old.

I'm not really into hats

but I'm ok with wearing them when I'm asleep.

10/31/09 First Halloween

Wonderful weeks of spit up and vomit

Due to my reflux, we went through a LOT of outfit changes.

The most was 10x in one day.

I ended up in a diaper when Mommy just didn't feel like peeling off one more sticky onesie.
